Stages of root canal treatment?

Image
Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to remove infected or damaged tissue from the inside of a tooth, and to seal and protect the tooth to prevent further infection or damage. The procedure typically involves several stages: Examination and Diagnosis : The first step in root canal treatment is a thorough examination of the affected tooth, which may involve X-rays or other diagnostic tests to determine the extent of the damage and to identify any signs of infection or inflammation. Anesthesia : Once the diagnosis is complete, the patient will be given a local anesthetic to numb the area around the affected tooth and reduce discomfort or pain during the procedure. Access : The dentist will open the top of the affected tooth to access the pulp chamber and root canals. Cleaning and Shaping : The dentist uses special instruments to clean and shape the inside of the tooth to prepare it for filling, and to remove damaged or infected tissue from the pulp chamber and root canals.
